Whoever goes to bed (whilst) intending to get up and pray the night prayer (Tahajjud) but is overcome by sleep  until the morning, (then) what he intended is recorded for him and his sleep is charity given to him from his Lord (Subḥānahu wa ta’āla).

[Abu Darda’ (RaḍiyAllāhu ‘anhu), Sunan an-Nasa’i, 1787, Classed Sahih by al-Albani (Rahimahullah)]
